Autodoor, 12V supply and power settings

Yesterday I awoke to see the shades to my Eglu Cube (for Chickens) and Classic (for Quails) ripped to shreds and scattered all over the garden. I was so relieved to see the chucks and quails all safe and well. I am so concerned that the fox will be back that I woke up at 4am this morning and looked outside to check and there was a fox patrolling the field. After speaking to a neighbour they have suggested an electric fence. Does anyone have any thoughts on this? Next door have a young boy (about 9 years) and I am worried he could get a shock accidentally plus I am not sure I want to surround my garden like a prison! What to do for the best? My chucks love their freedom to roam around the garden but I couldn't bear to lose them.

He may but if you tell his parents first and hang a warning on the fence he'll probably only do it once. An electric fence sounds a great idea. Must be a horrid feeling finding a fox has visited.
