freedom for the chucks!

Recommended Posts

my 3 babies experienced the great outdoors yesterday and being new to the chicken thing i found it highly amusing ! after eventually getting them out they kept running back in the house they wouldnt go on the grass off the patio its like they dont like change because they wouldnt go on the wood chip then ! on of them found a small slug and ran round the garden with the other 2 chasing her extemely comical to watch i have had the 3 since 5 days old in the living room. and it made it all worth while watching them i worried about getting them in again as they had the full garden to roam i had a bag of frozen mini corn cobs from fridge a gave it a jig and from the other side of the garden charged all of them not sure if a was scared by the looks on their faces or just amused at the speed in which they ran at me ! this morning they let themselves out of their box and toddled in to the dining room ready to go outside again i just need to get them a home and run now ! temp stay under therabbits in their run in the day

Aw, bless. Must be great to raise your own. My ladies (3 hybrids bought 2 weeks ago, not laid any !egg!!egg! yet :( ) are a bit scary when they all realise I've got a treat and come charging. OH says they look like dinosaurs, the way they run  I want to film one as she runs for treats and play it back in slow-motion (maybe with chariots of fire playing  ), I think it would be hilarious.
