Heidi-Hi
I can't believe how much they have changed in such a short time! I'm sure everyday I look at them they have got new feathers or look a bit bigger I am also thinking they are all girls? Ella is the only one I don't have any idea about though... Daisy 4.5 weeks, supposedly a white orpington, but she has a lot of black coming through ?? Plymouth 4.5 weeks, a Plymouth Barred Rock Lavender, 3.5 weeks, apparently a Lavender Pekin Ella, 2 weeks, got a white silkie for a mum and apparently a darkish frizzle dad
Redwing
The orp is lovely, it doesnt look like it will be pure white as you say but it is so sweet and does look female Plymouth has the face of a rock but a tufty head and no barring which is strange The last one looks like a Wyandotte chick, there are no silkie attributes at all, you'd expect a tufty head at the very least - it has a really cute face though, poss a boy as its still very fluffy Lovely chicks still cute, not hit that ugly gangly stage yet
Heidi-Hi
The lady from the chicken farm where Daisy, Plymouth and Lavender came from said that Plymouth is a Plymouth Barred Rock. I would'nt really know! She is getting really big and gangly. I really really hope Ella is a girl. I hatched her myself. I got Bella (her mum, a white silkie) from the chicken farm, and thought her eggs will be fertile for a bit, so kept her first three eggs, of which only the one hatched, hence Ella. I asked the lady at the farm afterwards what cockerel was in with her, and she said just a frizzle!? So I don't know what Ella is really. She has only 4 toes and virtually no feathers around her feet, and the feathers on her back don't look either Silkie or Frizzle. The lady at the farm must have got it wrong, the dad must be something else than a Frizzle. But definately a white silkie for a mum! I just hope she is a girl, I am soooo attached to her, it would break my heart if she had to go
