jennym Posted June 13, 2011 Share Posted June 13, 2011 Hello, My started laying a week ago and her eggs have been fairly small - 42-49g so far (yes, I'm a nerd, I've weighed them all ). They started at 42/44g last week and yesterday's was 49g. Do you think they will get bigger? Is there any way to predict/guess what size eggs a hen will lay? Does it change as they get older? They'll probably get bigger for a couple of weeks because first eggs are usually a bit smaller, then she'll start laying more similar sized eggs.
