MaryKate
Hi Has anyone experienced rain water getting in under the poo tray in their eglu. Our Classic sits on a very, very slight slope of the lawn and everytime it rains, I find water has gotten in under the poo tray. It collects on the lower side of the grey eglu base - about half a tea cup full. I think the rain in running down off the Eglu, missing the poo tray but gets in underneath it. When I look through the Eglu from the door, I can see daylight between the poo tray and the Eglu housing (about half an inch). Does this sound normal? The chooks don't get wet, but it isn't going to be very good during winter when we will get more rain and the water might freeze! Trying to find an absolute level bit in our garden is virtually impossible. Any suggestions gladly received.
Egluntyne
The daylight is normal. It is there for ventilation. Ithink placing the Eglu on the level should sort it out for you.
squiffs
I have a similar problem with my eglu, when the rain is very hard it collects in the nesting box area of the eglu - even though all doors etc are shut, I'm not sure what to do except hope the wind is blowing in the opposite direction occasionally - seeing as this part of the coast gets a loooot of rain.
