We've had 2 light sussex hens and 1 buff sussex hen since August last year (they're all about 1 year old now) and now the buff sussex (pumpkin) won't leave the nest box now, she been like this for a few days now. The other hens won't go in there to lay any eggs becuase she is in there all the time. We have taken her out when we get home from work but she just sits on the floor and doesn't really move. We're going on holiday in a week's time and we're not sure what we can do? We have a fairly small chicken house with an open run. Unfortunately we don't have a spare chicken house that she can go in, we don't want any chicks as we don't have enough space for anymore chickens.
