Yesterday we lost Matilda the 3rd of the 4 orginal girls we had 4 years ago.

Myrtle who is the last is looking a bit lonely (it breaks my heart to see her this way )But 3 weeks ago we bought two more youngsters to bring the flock to 4 Mabel and Ethel are still a little timid of her, will they settle enough to help Myrtle get over her loss.

She is still eating, drinking ,foraging and is in brilliant nick, she likes to come in and watch tv with us sitting on the sofa with us.

Is there anything I can do to help her.

When they are more mature they'll get more confident and interact with her more. Bet she feels better with having other chickens around now though.

I know one night my wife had the cat on her lap I had Myrtle on the other.

She is in as we speak on the floor in the kitchen catching some rays lol
