Foxy Loxy
Out of interest, people that keep their chickens on the grass and move it every so often, how do you find that the grass grows afterwards?
jsbates65
I try to move mine fairly regularly, and the grass always seems to bounce back. I do keep some grass seed on hand as we've had a very wet spring, so sometimes it looks pretty dire. But it always seems to grow back pretty quickly. . . . Hen Watch
My grass grows back much greener.....dark green actually after all that natural fertiliser. But I have to move the eglu and run every 2/3 days across by a few metres. Went away on holiday last week, so my girls were permanently in their run for 4 days with no freeranging.....not much grass left as they've had a good scratch but I don't mind.
