Eggpodd Posted July 14, 2011 Share Posted July 14, 2011 Got the girls home last night, all good so far! We put straw in the nestbox and they threw it all out on the floor overnight. I put fresh in this morning and the same has happened again. Is this the usual story? Is there any point putting more back in? Or shall I just throw the straw on the floor myself to save time? Snowy Posted July 14, 2011 Share Posted July 14, 2011 Bless them! The straw throwing ritual seems to be something they do when getting ready to lay. You can leave the straw out if you can't be bothered to put it back in everyday - it won't make much difference to them, they will hopefully lay there anyway.
