I bought a Panasonic bread maker a couple of weeks ago and so far am pleased. What I am disappointed about and never thought to check before I bought is that it will not allow you to set the timer to just make dough. I have an Aga and prefer to cook it in that. Does anyone know why I cannot use the timer for dough and more importantly ....any tricks to get dough ready to shape and prove first thing in the morning ?

I've made dough many an time ahead of time and then either just knocked it back again or put it in the fridge until the next morning. It worked for me

Do you mean I can make it late at night and just leave it in the machine till morning ?

 

Do you know why the machine won't allow timer for dough ? I can set up to 10 hour delay for bread, seems odd.

I made dough (for the first time) in my panasonic yesterday & used the timer delay option. Mine is a 256 model.

Mine is SD 2501 it has lots of programmes and the only dough prog that includes the timer is pizza and that is a small amount. It doesn't seem to allow much user variation, you just get one of about 25 progs and they control most things. Frustrating !
