willyhorton
hi guys..,we have a number of chucks from, warrens, blue-bells, suffolk stars, but we have recently got what we have been led to belive pekin bantams from our local garden / pet centre, they were less than a week old when we got the pair of them and they are now 4 weeks old and still in the brood under a red heated lamp, BUT we are unsure if they are pekin bantams because they look so different... one is a yellow / white colour and the other is a blacky / grey colour, BUT only the blacky / grey one has hairy feet and is a third smaller than the yellow one we think the yellow / white one is female, and the other is male , from the tell tale signs any way, can someone tell me if the diffrence can be possible of have i been told the wrong breeds. if i knew how to add pics i would, if ya give me ya email i will forward ya them or i can text ya a pic of them ... many thanks simon from warrington
Redwing
It sounds like the black one could well be a Pekin but the other one wont be (as you suspect) At that age most white chicks look alike so it may not be for a while that the chick will be identifiable
