I am fairly experienced now with chickens and ducks so moved into some rare breed geese recently. I have 3, 2 came from one place in shropshire and one very friendly gosling from Kent but none of them will go in or near my new goose house. Chickens and ducks usually pile in and out at will but geese? I am beginning to think they just don't like th house design!

I have even tried putting there food inside.

Does anyone have any ideas?

I think you are pretty luck with your ducks, so many waterfowl do not seek the comfort or a coop at night! Its seems you are less lucky with the geese

 

You may need to herd them in for now, they may well get the message (as hens do) and get in to a routine of going in when it gets dark, they may never get it though

 

At least they are easier to herd than ducks!
