Smoking

Recommended Posts

Does anyone do this? As in smoking food not puffing Billy!

I quite fancy a go but not sure I want to go the whole hog and fork out for expensive equipment or go to the trouble of constucting something that might not get used again.

Am I right in thinking that you can get BBQ smoking kits? and if so are they any good?

I smoke a lot of things, cheese, fish, meat and chicken. I just fire up the barbeque put on whatever flavour woodchip I fancy, close the lid and hey presto. Cheap and easy to use. That produces a hot smoke, I'm afraid I don't know much about cold smoking save I did look at it and it was too complicated having to keep the smoke at 26˚ and no more for so long
