sarahelliott
hello chicken eggsperts! so Millie isn't well today.. basic symptoms are lethargic, not eating, very hunched, sat in a corner with eyes closed. she's normally quite scared of me but today lets me pick her up no problem. her crop is empty except water. So, I put her over a tub of hot water hoping the steam would ease things up for her but to no avail. I initially thought this was a soft egg as she has had problems laying before but just wanted to check "Ooops, word censored!"ody thought it was anything else? this is her, in an upside-down stool filled with straw to make a bit more comfortable and away from the others!! opinions would be much appreciated, just want to know if i'm doing the right thing thanks! XX ( I did have another post about a different girl acting strange the other day but turns out she had been going through her henopause and is fine now, bless her!) Ain't Nobody Here
Could well be a softie . Alternatively, have you checked her tummy? If it's hot and swollen it could be peritonitis. A waddling walk is a sign too.
sarahelliott
I've checked her tummy, back end and between her legs and can't feel anything also does not seem too warm. She has deteriorated over night and is much more hunched and can barely open her eyes, so have put her in a pet carrier with lots of straw and a hot water bottle.. think a trip to the vets is needed.
