Is it OK to put layers mash in a Grub?

Recommended Posts

Our old girls had layers pellets in their Grub and at the moment the new girls have them in there too. But I bought some layers mash mixed with Bokashi recently and have been giving it as an extra both in a bowl and in a free-standing conventional feeder. They clearly love it and eat it so much more enthusiastically than their pellets. As we need to buy some more feed recently I'm thinking of buying layers mash rather than pellets next time. But will it be OK putting it in the Grub i.e. as easy to eat as from the more open feeder? Mash is so much finer than the pellets and there does seem to be a lot of 'dust'.
