But I bought some layers mash mixed with Bokashi recently and have been giving it as an extra both in a bowl and in a free-standing conventional feeder. They clearly love it and eat it so much more enthusiastically than their pellets. As we need to buy some more feed recently I'm thinking of buying layers mash rather than pellets next time. But will it be OK putting it in the Grub i.e. as easy to eat as from the more open feeder? Mash is so much finer than the pellets and there does seem to be a lot of 'dust'. They do scatter it about a bit though. it might be worth putting a litter tray or similar on the floor to minimise the mess ... which can begin to smell rather sour if it gets damp.
