meezers
Wish I'd had a camera ready this morning. I let Dandelion, my Silkie cockerel, out of the coop at 8am and as usual as soon as they heard the pop hole open, the hens all took to the highest perches where he can't reach them. Unusually all 7 wound up on the same perch. It looked so funny all of them lined up on the perch looking down at him as he danced back and forth as if to say ' no room for you up here and we ain't coming down'
lindafw
as soon as I open the coop Baggins my Buff Orp boy and his best Sussex girl gladys exit the run closely followed by the rest of the girls who scatter to get away from him. Rincewind the Poland boy stays in the coop..after a bit he comes out and potters around but never leaves the coop for long...as soon as a girl goes in to lay Rince is in there with her...sitting in the coop and crowing when she lays...and Baggins lets him! They are strange creatures...camera phone with you every day until they do a repeat perhaps
