willyhorton Posted September 9, 2011 Share Posted September 9, 2011 i have a pekin bantam chick, well i say chick but its just 9 weeks old, but yesterday morning when i went out to let them out and give them fresh food and water, i heard it trying to cock a doodle doo, it sounded so funny to hear it for the first time. i was always under the impression that they were a little older before they started to do this, do they get louder untill you let them out in a morning, ?? or is it just going to get worse, i have in total 5 ex battery warrrens still laying 1 sussex star not laying yet only 16 weeks 1 blue bell not laying yet same only 16 weeks and 1 pekin bantam hen 0nly 9 weeks someone told me i will have to get rid of the cockerel because it can get aggressive and very noisy ??? many thanks simon from warrington Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

He is 10 weeks old and has been making cock a doodle noises before i let him out in the morning for about a week now, so i guess thats about right for your boy.
