Paranoid or peritonitis?

Recommended Posts

Having lost one of our ex batts to peritonitis last year I am paranoid about any others getting it, so I check their rear ends a lot! Anyway Ainsley seems to be a bit swollen, although absolutely fine in all other respects. Her tail is up, and she's eating and drinking, and running about as normal. She isn't laying at the moment, as she is moulting, and her underside has no feathers, so I'm not sure if it's just because she's bare that it seems to be a problem. If it was peritonitis would there be other symptoms?

you can't tell someone with ex batts not to worry :) it goes with the territory :( I lost one unexpectedly with peri bulge, but wasn't peri.. only 2 days after lost one quickly(large tumour :( ).

and 3 days later took 4 to the vet to get checked.. .

worth it for peace of mind that weekend after the previous one...

but i agree with Olly :)
