Pro - Does anyone else's nest boxes get soaked in rain?

Having lost one of our ex batts to peritonitis last year I am paranoid about any others getting it, so I check their rear ends a lot! Anyway Ainsley seems to be a bit swollen, although absolutely fine in all other respects. Her tail is up, and she's eating and drinking, and running about as normal. She isn't laying at the moment, as she is moulting, and her underside has no feathers, so I'm not sure if it's just because she's bare that it seems to be a problem. If it was peritonitis would there be other symptoms?

keep checking and watch her, when you have a better idea whip her off to the vets for treatment. might there be an egg o the way.

sometimes there are no other symptoms till it has progressed too far...

When they're feather-less they can look a bit different - I'd just keep a close eye, but if she's eating/drinking and looking bright and perky, don't worry too much.

you can't tell someone with ex batts not to worry it goes with the territory I lost one unexpectedly with peri bulge, but wasn't peri.. only 2 days after lost one quickly(large tumour ).

and 3 days later took 4 to the vet to get checked.. .

worth it for peace of mind that weekend after the previous one...
