chookingham
This is probably a dopey question, but if you give your chooks a little catfood for extra protein, do you give 'wet' food or 'dry' food. Only ask as I have run out of mealworms so thought I could try the cat food: as my cat throws up if he has wet food these days I have a few sachets to use up. If it is dry stuff you feed the chooks I'll give the other stuff to our local animal rehoming centre.
Olly
Either. If you're giving dry food, I'd soak it in a bit of water first just in case it swells up in their crops; they'll love the 'wet' stuff though.
ohcarolina
But doesn't most wet cat food contain chicken?
Chucky Mama
But doesn't most wet cat food contain chicken? I wouldn't feed cat food for this reason. There is previous topic on this Here
chookingham
Thanks, I will check the sachets carefully, but looks like it is better all going to the blue cross:)
