Unsecure chicken perches

Found Ethel sitting in the Eglu nest box this morning when I was leaving for my needle turn applique class and when I returned home found my second egg - yesterday morning I had my first. Eggs for dinner for me tonight! My daughter said I should use my good china and silver to eat it with, I just may!

Got my third egg today, later in the afternoon, after 2 p.m. That makes three eggs in three days! Could be both of my Black Marans or just one, just not sure. This is so exciting, the yolks are such a dark orange color and the eggs taste wonderful.

Eggs from your own chooks are so much better than bought ones.

 

DS who has moved out now, bought at the weekend normal supermarket eggs not free range by mistake and he said it was such a disappointment and a waste of money compared to our girls eggs.
