BGB Posted November 20, 2011 Share Posted November 20, 2011 My chickens (Black rocks) are about 18 months old, and they have always been fed on layers mash, even from before I got them. Because mash is so messy and difficult to clear up, thereby attracting vermin, I am trying to change them over to pellets. I know that this sounds a bit daft, but will they starve themselves to death rather than eat something new? They don't seem to be eating the pellets.
