tracyann
Well, I'm back again, not sure for how long though. Work has picked up big time, leaving me not a whole lot of time to do very much, let alone look at forums... Anyhow, all the girls are fine. Frank started crowing two weeks ago and hasn't stopped since, lovely to hear him cock-a-doodle-do in the mornings. The 11 girls are all doing well - though still no eggs from the Welsummers and Wheaten Marans, I may have to wait until January by the look of things. I'm just being impatient. The hybrid girls are still laying an egg most days, though the egg tally varies from 4 to 6. I'm still undecided on what eggs to hatch in the New Year. Think I may have settled on light sussex and blackxbuff orpingtons, have found a supplier for both... Got a huge 20 egg incubator which I got second hand on that well known auction site, and a 7 egg incubator down the nursing home. So in theory have room for 26 eggs.... Yay. Might have to sneak in some Barnvelders in the mix, or some speckled sussex... Going to try hatching some of my girls eggs and see what I get, will decide in the New Year me thinks. Anyway, thought I'd say hello!! Have missed the chit chat on here, but just havent' had time! Hope you are all ok. Love Tracy xxxx
