quickcluck
When we moved into our cottage 4 yrs ago, it had already be treated with a Permanant coating/paint. It's fine, not cracked or anything. However it is very dirty Does anyone have any experience of this? How can I clean it? Can it be painted over (which defeats the object)? Am really feeling the need to clean it.... thinking of hiring an industrail pressure washer Thanks K
Guest
Some of these coatings carry a guarantee - were you passed on any paperwork etc? If you pressure wash it and it cracks the gurantee will be out of the window.

WitchHazel
I'd definitely contact the supplier to ask for advice. If you do decide to wash it, do a small piece round the back first. You may find it looks worse after washing, and once you've started you'll have to finish. I would imagine you'lll also need to start at the top and work down (if you start at the bottom, your clean bits will be ruined by dirty water wshing off the bits above).
