Hetty and Hilda
hi all: I am a chef by trade and this year has been a big year for me I finally got my Allotment after nearly 2 years of waiting, so not only do i have chickens in my garden, 2 lovely lady’s called Hilda & Hetty I can now try to be self-surfactant in fruit and veg. This has always been a passion of mine it goes hand in hand with being a chef I think as I am always trying to find the freshest and finest to eat and use. and what a stark contrast fresh grown produce is, I have always grown a little veg at home but nothing on the scale I did this year it was great and for the months from May to August I thing I didn’t by a single piece of veg. and when I started to in September it didn’t taste anything like what I had become accustom to! i have started a blog about my life as an Allotmeteer and the adventure i will have along the way! http://plotnumber58.blogspot.com/ hope you enjoy it stacy
mollyripkim
Just had a peak at your blog, it's really good, love your girls. Good luck with the veggie growing, I only grow a little bit but as you say it all tastes so much nicer. Am definitely going to try some of your recipes as well. Happy New Year
Space Chick
We also had our allotment this year after 4 years on the waiting list We've had fabulous veg this year, and that was only from half our plot. We also got our greenhouse too late to get much out from it. We are very excited about this year, some early broad beans have already been planted, onions are well on their way and we are hoping we will get some fruit from the fruit trees It is so exciting
