I'm still on a quest to find a hybrid laying darker brown eggs to add interest to my current brown, green & blue layers' produce. I'm on a waiting list for some hens down south but I'd be very interested to see any pictures of Speckeldy Hen eggs from those who've bought their hens in Scotland. Any pics & source breeder details for these eggs would be very helpful as I'm often told by folk selling Speckeldys that they've bought them in as chicks and don't keep them long enough to see what they'll lay ... Think lots of people on the forum keep them & there are def breeders around. Don't know how far you are able to travel but AK poultry in Aberdeen are listed as stocking Marans http://www.akpoultry.com and http://www.eastlothianlivery.com may be worth a call.
