duchess
Hi there. Just filling in my entries for Peebles show and wondering what class to put my gold laced Orprington in! Rules state only standardised colours unless otherwise stated so I'm guessing that means buff black or white so i can't enter the Orprington male class? Other options are 'any variety any colour M or F' or ladies class large fowl M or F. Any help much appreciated. It's only my second time showing! Redwing
Unfortunately if there is not a 'non standard' class then officially you can't enter that bird Sometimes at a small show you'll get away with them in a more general class like the ladies class Officially a judge should pass them by and not judge them but sometimes you get a judge that wants to encourage people at a small show and they may place the bird If they do though it won't go any further in the competition You won't be 'confronted' for entering a non standard bird so no public embarrassment so you have little to lose if you just want the experience
duchess
Thanks for your reply Redwing. There's an A/C A/V non standard class. So I'll enter him for that class and see what happens!
Redwing
Perfect. Bear in mind that even if he wins that class he won't go on to compete for best in group It's still great fun though If you have any show queries just let me know
