Broody midwinter.

Recommended Posts

One of my silkies has decided to go broody today - the one that isn't laying :x I've put her in the sin bin in my outhouse with water and food but... I feel terribly guilty doing that to her in this weather, not having her sister to cuddle up to for warmth. With the weather the way it is, will she be okay on her own in the cold? Or should I put her in the cat carrier and bring her indoors?

I have a silkie who seems to be always broody and is at the moment but she is very good natured about it. Personally I have chosen not to separate her as I think it's too cold. I just remove her from the nest every few hours so she eats and drinks.

I'd love to be able to do that but i leave for work 18 miles away at 6:30am and dobt get home until 7pm :(
