Pro - Does anyone else's nest boxes get soaked in rain?

Does anyone have any recommendations for these, please? My Mum would like to be able to record The Archers to listen to later at night and it seems a digital radio/recorder would do the job, but what to go for? Something fairly easy (for which read idiot proof) to use is called for? Thanks everyone!

Thanks, but no, she doesn't. I've already suggested that option but she's too "confused by technology" to cope with a computer (she says!)
