Pro - Does anyone else's nest boxes get soaked in rain?

My OH just found a big rat in my walk in run. I know that rats naturally will live in this area, due to bird feeding and the fact that its fairly wooded and there are loads of big gardens around. I saw one last week in the garden and have made a conscientious effort to make sure that theres no food has been left where they can get at it other than the walk in run.

 

I can leave all the pellets in the grub feeder which may help. I could get baited rat boxes for the garden.

 

What does everyone else do ???
