MickChuck
Hi I have a hunch that one of my chucks has gumboro and another is showing signs of development. One is almost bald underneath, has a lolloping gait and is pretty tired out. It started with a 'dirty bum' and has now developed further. The worst one sits in the eglu at night and seems to poo and wee a lot, plus she sits in it all night. The chucks are all 3 years old. Help!! Tweety
I have never heard of this disease, but a quick look on the Internet would seem to indicate that it is more likely to affect young birds. Have you seen a vet with the poorly hen? The gait might suggest peritonitis - is she swollen underneath? Has she been wormed recently? If so, did you use Flubenvet? I assume that she is eating and drinking ok if she is pooing and weeing - is the poo normal?
Redwing
Its more likely to be Peritonitis or Mareks. A vets visit may be a good idea Its worth isolating the sick ones
