Agressive chicken since another chickens death?

We lost one of our Lavender pekins a fortnight ago. Ever since then my other lavender hen has started to become quite agressive to me and my daughters (not the other hens/cockerel). Running at us and pecking. Has anyone experienced this before?

She is short on company at the moment, just a cockerel and another hen in the house. I have a seperate house with a hen and one chick she can also see and some eggs about to go into the incubator to boost numbers......do you think that could be the solution?
