fibrowne
Hi, I have 2 questions - I hope that is ok! First question is I have put quail eggs in my Brinsea Octagan 20. At what day do I stop the cradle turning? And anyone recommend a brooder afterwards for the babies (providing they hatch!) So, a heat lamp in a large fish tank, or do I buy a brooder from ebay (sort of plastic box thing with a lamp) or do I buy a Brinsea electric brooder? Thank you very much. Redwing
Stop turning at day 13 or 14 Brinsea electric hens arent great for quails as the lowest setting isnt quite low enough. The brooders with lamps are good if they ahve enough ventilation. A fishtank (with mesh lid/cover) with heat lamp would be ideal though. The important thing is that the sides are quite solid (or close bars)
