bluekarin
Anyone seen any of these in their gardens? We first saw them a couple of years ago, then I don't think we had them for a while, until last year when we had quite a few, and this year we have masses! I found some grubs in the garden a month or so ago and though they were eeek vine weevil grubs, but seems maybe not I can't quite see what they are feasting on but we do have a large cherry tree which gets holey leaves, and they seem to like flying about our little privet hedge and St Johns Wort yellow flower plant (can't remember its name) and a wild rose, but don't seem to be eating them. So, anyone know what to do about them? How best to, er, control them?
ubereglu
Have a look on the RHS website? Aren't they a notifiable insect? I have a feeling they are trying to monitor the spread of them across the UK.
bluekarin
I can't see anything on their website, but if you know of a link to the survey I'd be most grateful.
