claire-b
Hi my two chickens who are approx 2 years old have stopped laying and any advice would be greatly appreciated. Bramble was laying every day until about Jan and then it slowed down (I thought probably due to the cold weather) but hasn't layed at all in the past 2 months. She isn't broody, has been wormed, is eating and drinking well, there are no mites and appears to be the picture of health. Holly hasn't layed since Dec when she had a bit of a fright when the roof of the enclosure fell in. She then moulted and has had a prolapse but has recovered well from both. She too has been wormed, i eating and drinking well and is the picture of health. I'm not too bothered if Holly doesn't lay again (don't really want to have to deal with another prolapse!) but I can't work out what's wrong with Bramble. The only other thing is that I had a baby in Jan. Are they jealous They are both fed layers pellets and s"Ooops, word censored!"s from the kitchen. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks Claire
Plum
Bit young to stop but one of mine hasn't laid a normal egg since she was about one. Are you giving them lots of extras?
claire-b
I've been giving them extra grit and s"Ooops, word censored!"s from the kitchen. Any other suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks
Plum
Perhaps just keep them on layers for a while. Or hunt under the shrubs in the garden
