Moyna5
Bhuna our 3 yr old, has stopped laying, has had a runny tummy for the last 3 weeks, she is fairly disinterested in anything but is eating and her feathers look healthy. She isn't underweight but is breathing heavily. The other 2 are completely well. Any ideas anyone?
Plum
Heavy breathing can mean she's aneamic (?redmite), got a respiratory infection, heart problem or other things maybe just under the weather. Has she been wormed recently that can cause loose droppings and being under the weather or it could be gut infection. I'd check her and housing for parasites, listen to breathing, give her a general check and if nothing found take her and dropping sample to vet. It could be something easily treated. Hope she picks up
Moyna5
Thanks Plum for the quick reply, will worm tomorrow to be sure. But both the other 2 appear very well,so not sure. She a plucky chicken and has survived quite a few things including a fox attack so I really hope she makes it through this
