Gloss-Hen
A few days ago I put my maran bantam in with my 2 polands and my silkie. Now my maran took a dislike to my silkie pecking at her whenever she had a chance, I just thought it was the pecking order well i let my chickens out saturday morning. my silkie's neck was covered in blood I brought her in and bathed her neck which she enjoyed . My marans was in with our other flock but she was pecked a fair bit so we thought we'd put her in with my silkie which was not a good idea as i've found out but splodge (the silkie) is in our spare room being spoilt rotten
fluffy chick
Oh dear poor thing. All that fluff can hide wounds. When I had silkies I had to keep trimming their fluff around the eyes so they could see to keep out the way of the others.
Happily
I hope splodge feels better soon - poor chook. I'm sure she s enjoying being spoilt though. I also trim my silkies round their eyes so they have a better view of the others coming xx
