Advice on clipping toenails

Recommended Posts

Or more accurately claws. We've got 1 hen who's a bit lame having had scaly leg mite. We've had to confine her as her legs were being pecked by some of the other hens, & because she's been pretty stationary her claws have grown too long. They look to be making walking uncomfortable for her. Can / should we clip them, & if so how much to take off, we don't want to make them bleed? We're in the process of reintegrating her with the others & feel she should be as nimble as possible.

Thanks

Janet
