newcountrygirl
I got three new chicks last week - 8 weeks old. At what age will i be able to let them try mixing with my other girls. At the moment the three older ones are in a WIR with their henhouse, The three young chicks are next to the run in the Eglu and run - so they can see each other. Currently the three older ones dont seem to show much interest even when freeranging - apart from Madge the Pekin who paces up and down the front of the run when the chicks are cheeping. sjp
I've free range 10 week olds with older girls but they will need to be in their own house and run until at least 18 weeks old or laying as they need to be fed growers feed until 18 weeks old or laying I start my POL on layers at 18 weeks others wait until they start to lay
