Hi all,

 

Just a quick question. Milly my broody pekin bantam started laying again and as Monty (cockerel) had been pinning, I popped her back with him the same day...he's a happy chap now!!! Chicks are 6 weeks old and really well feathered,also there's 4 of them. So they have been alone in their coop the last 2 nights and seem fine, but an online friend said they should still have Milly with them at night!!!! Ooops They really do seem fine, moving around eating loads!! I have a snuggle safe I could use.What do you think????

They should be fine but if the weather tuns colder again it may be worth putting them in a box in a shed or garage overnight

Thanks for the reply Redwing. I thought they seemed OK. Will keep an eye on the temperature at night. What would be the threshold do you think? Single figures maybe?
