seagullukuk
As my children did the 11+and no sats just wondering which is most stressful! My first child daughter spent a whole summer including our annual holiday doing a practice paper each day!! Not a great way to spend a holiday specially as the younger one found it funny!! Do practice sat papers exist? needless to say when it came to second daughter we had no plans for her to do the 11+ as she needs extra help with reading so no summer practice for her. She then ended up choosing to do it!! come the November as she did not wnat to miss out. Kids such fun

Couperman
I don't remember 'sitting' either exam, test,I think it was a teachers judgement thing no pressure on the childs part or the parents. Maybe teachers were more trusted then and left alone to do their job! We need to bring that level of trust back! I have met several of my teachers long after (20 years) leaving school and they can't understand why I still call them Sir, they know really and are proud and rightly so:D
Couperwife
Do practice sat papers exist? I'm sad to say this, but they do. they are actually "old" papers from previous years. you can probably find them on the net, you can also find past GCSE exam papers by looking on the exam board websites. I dont know what exam boards do SATS - sorry
