Rant

We've not been allowed to park on our street since Tuesday due to the golf. Were woken up at 5.20am by them putting cones out on Tuesday morning then disturbed again two hours later and most of Tuesday by motorbike policemen whizzing up and down.

Have a number to phone re cars illegally parked so why over two hours later have the parking enforcement people still not come out to cars who are parked in the tow away zone  I've already phoned them twice since I got in from work, they shut at 5.30pm and when I rang the police on Tuesday night at 6pm ish(non emergency number) to report a car that had driven onto the pavement and parallel parked to the road they hung up on me

Just said to DH I'm going to move the car off the drive and park on our road tomorrow!!!!!

You have my sympathy. I live opposite a school and during term time, parking is a nightmare. Parents block driveways and park dangerously on the yellow zig zags, all to save them and their kids having walk a few yards. I've given up calling the school, the police and the council unless I genuinely need to get out of my drive. Last month my wee sisters were staying with me. I had to get them to their school, which is a ten min. drive away. On the first morning, we waited in my driveway for 15 mins. before the woman who'd blocked our drive finished chatting to the other mums at the gate, and sauntered back to her car. She saw us waiting, but didn't even apologise. It really annoys me, but I try to turn a blind eye unless it directly affects me. It's a losing battle. Grrr!

I live in the middle of nowhere, so don't suffer any of this at all, but it would really annoy me, and I'm not sure I could just sit quietly either.

Sometimes, someone might park their van in my gate, but it's just to stop the cows getting into my garden, when they walk them along to lane. Yup... that's as bad as it gets.
