Gertie
Just a reminder to me to keep a close eye - my hens are FR in the garden at the moment. I've left them out later than I would normally as I want to see if they decide to go to bed altogether (integrating one remaining hen with 3 new very slowly). I popped in to go to the loo & as I looked out of the window a fox cub was exploring the garden. No harm done (chucks didn't even appear to have noticed), but a sobering reminder to never leave them unattended!

Gertie
Yes, definitely lucky to have been present & that it was a cub. Interestingly, the bedtime arrangements were curious. Top (previously remaining from old flock & dominant hen), went to bed in her own house accompanied by bottom & middle hen from new flock. Middle hen from new flock went to bed alone In new hens coop (I have 2 classics). Confusing!!
