Gertie
I have an ever growing pile of garden waste (twigs, branches and annual weeds with seeds etc). It's way too much for taking to the tip to recycle and it's things I cannot compost, so I've decided to have a bonfire. The only trouble is that everything is all soggy. I know people do have bonfires when the waste is wet and they smoulder away. I just have not figured out how to light them yet!! Does anyone have any bonfire tips? I have managed to light the fire when the cuttings are relatively dry but not at the moment! Thank you!
counturchickens
Hi, have a look at my post about a dead hedge! Otherwise, it looks like the weather might buck up next week, so maybe wait for it to dry out, and re stack in case any creatures are lurking! Gertie
Thanks, I'll have a look. Sure that could consume some of the cuttings!
