savena5630
Hi all, Am thinking of adding a few more girls to my 3 hens and one rooster set-up; I know that introductions can be long and difficult - but do you think the presense of a rooster will make it any easier?? Thanks
zakjon-98
It should make it easier as there will be no top hen spot to get. Some flocks with a cockerel still have a few bullying issues but I would say it would be a lot easier with the cockerel being the boss. What are you thinking of getting? savena5630
Yes, at the moment there doesnt seem to be any fighting/hen pecking issues with my three girls and boy. I'm not sure, i'd like a small and docile breed - about 2 or three! Any suggestions?
zakjon-98
Sussex are nice docile birds and good layers too. I think that the buff and speckled are particularly pretty but are fairly big. They come in bantam though. Good luck with what you choose
