Smart Feeder - Light sensor values

When I got home today had a strange feeling Annette wasn't quite her wee self. Nothing I could point out or put my finger on, just not quite so. Anyway, let them out for a pre bed FR then went to dump. Came home and did my normal lid open and stroke everyone good night (sad I know) and noticed her crop feels very solid. Not particularly giant but proper hard. Hoping she has just eaten an absolute tonne and will be fine in morning but will check before I let them out. If its still hard should I bring her inside and let her spend the day in a cat carrier with only water or let them all out but "starve" everyone. Not sure if there is more danger of integration issues or bullying due to lack of food!! Crossing everything she is fine!

It is normal and meant to be full at night. Check her first thing it should be empty then,

Was just so much harder than normal it worried me. Fingers crossed she is just different normal from what I thought!!

I agree check in the morning. My greedy light sussex often has a huge looking crop before bed but it always goes down overnight. Hope it's nothing

Thanks for asking Roselady. She is absolutely fine - big fat solid crop completely empty and she was very indignant at being prodded before she had even had her breakfast! Chickens - 1, paranoid owner - 0
