sandyhas3chucks
A while back Egluntine wrote on a post a statement I have just seen again... It has been one of the most useful yardsticks that I try hard to use... I always ask myself if I'm prolonging a life or prolonging a death Sometimes age and circumstances help to determine this, sometimes it is not so clear. some 3 months ago one Vet gave a very poor prognosis and an appointment was made to PTS 4 days later but sooner if needed. I decided to give her a chance and another Vet drained the fluid from her abdomen. along with a course of antibiotics from the first Vet. (she was swollen but not ill) 6 weeks on and she was still great but started visittng the nest. she had a Delvosterone injection to stop eggs forming.. "£20 Total.... she is still flat bottomed and well... Never easy to Judge but I still keep that statement in mind I always ask myself if I'm prolonging a life or prolonging a death
Leicester_H
I second that. I too, try to keep this in mind when deciding things at the vets. H
Grandmashazzie
I third that, sometimes it would be nice to apply it to people,I have a relative who seems to be suffering unduly.
sandyhas3chucks
It is a hard one to judge when you have seen them bounce back from what seems certain death.
