We collected our first 3 hens yesterday (Betty, Clara and Vera!). Clara and Vera are both approaching POL, but Betty had started laying, however we weren't expecting anything until she had settled in.... so I guess she must feel at home already, as she has laid us our first ever egg this morning!! What a lovely surprise

congratulations! I bet they were tasty! ours have started laying again after their winter break and decided it was time for their first egg when the snow came!

 

I think you can only post photos when you have had a certain amount of posts, if I remember someone saying on another topic correctly!

Ah I did wonder!

 

We only had one egg, Hubby fried it in oil and him and my daughter shared it. I'm on a diet so I'll be boiling the next one all for me

Well done - none of my three youngsters have decided it's time to start earning their keep yet!
