Suki ( just turned 2) has gone through a big moult starting mid december, it really took it out of her but just as she started to look normal she has started to lose her tail feathers again. Can a chicken moult twice within an matter of months or has she another problem?

Hi there! Yes I believe they can and my Molly seemed to moult 3 times 1st after hatching in the summer, then in the autumn and most earnestly from mid dec like your girl! The last moult was very hard on her and we did visit the vet as I thought something else must be going on too!!( A couple of jabs, a few nights in and some TLC.) Thankfully she has come through it and looks super now

 

But it sounds to me like your girl is finishing off her moult as the feathers seem to go in an order from the neck downwards through the body. But that's only a guess....don't quote me Hopefully somebody with more experience will be along!
