WitchHazel
Hello again We're moving along with getting my Aunt on line, still deciding between Ipad 2 or Samsung Galaxy tablet for her. One of the things my Aunt loves is Scrabble, and I've told her that she will be able to play Scrabble online. Upon investigation, it turns out that this may have been a bit of a rash promise. Scrabble is owned by Hasbro in the US, and is widely available for US/Canada users on both Ipad and Android. In the rest of the world it is owned by Mattel, and is not so easily available on Ipad or Android. I'm sure we could sort something out if my Aunt just wanted to play Scrabble by herself, but I think one of the great things for her would be being able to play against someone else. I'm guessing that there are Facebook groups for playing Scrabble, and I have no doubt that if we were getting her a PC/laptop we would be OK. However, apart from the Scrabble, on balance a tablet is a better option for her. Does anyone have any experience of Facebook Scrabble (for UK spellers) using an Ipad or Android tablet?. Or other UK-spelling Scrabbble apps on either Ipad or Android, where you play other players? Thanks Omleteers! Hazel Thanks for your help
kinsk
I play "words with friends" which is on facebook so you play against your FB friends, think you can also play with other people too. There is a free app for iphone and ipad, I usually play on my phone so no problem with a tablet. Will have a look and see if there are any other apps.
