snowberry
Some of you may know that I run a fan page for a minor celeb on FB. It has been set to private as some people don't want their fangirl status posted all over FB. A while ago I had to block some 'personal friends' of the celeb as they were so boastful of their supposed real-world status that it caused a lot of fan-girl upset on the page Today, I have had a request from the (real) wife of the celeb to join the page. Personally, I find that a bit creepy, but I'm happy to not let on who she is, if she stays quiet too. If many of the women (& men) find out who she is, they may start deleting their threads left, right & centre. Would you accept her onto the page? Chortle Chook
Could you tell the celeb and hint that if he wants his wife to join then he should 'invite' her to be a friend? - Then when she joins perhaps she could join under her first name only
snowberry
He knows of the page but he isn't personally on FB. His wife thankfully goes by a different name that has mostly been kept out of the media. I just don't want people eith deluging her with Q's or being too scared to post
Chortle Chook
Well I don't think you can really refuse her, but you could make her aware that a) it could lead to her name getting right into the media as it will probably blow her cover when someone who knows who she is says something that enables others to pick up on her wifely status. b) she may get deluged with questions If she still wants to go ahead then really it is down to her to manage.
